Welcome to ASPIRC!
ASPIRC has a three-prong and culturally sensitive approach to empower American Samoa parents with skills to help their children improve academically. This three prong approach is developing:
- Multilingual radio and television programs
- Multilingual school publications
- Multilingual workshops and seminars
The PIRC staff and Parent Leadership Coalition (PLC) will work closely to plan and execute four major types of project activities. They are the Parents As Teachers (PAT) and Home Instruction for Elementary Students (HIES) seminars and workshops; media outreach programming; forums to urge local lawmakers to institute parental involvement policy at the state level; and workshops and seminars for parents on useful tips to meet the educational needs of their children.
